Coronavirus (COVID-19) Concerns

Every Monday

As public health concerns grow about coronavirus (COVID-19), we the staff at the Liberty Community Church of God in Christ are committed to informing our congregation, friends, family and the entire community with the latest information; we want to ensure to everyone that we are indeed handling the situation as best as possible.

According to the medical experts, this particular strain of the coronavirus, known as (COVID-19), is new; it may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes will possibly cause the spread from person-to-person.

For starters, “don’t panic”, we should handle this and any situation with prayer. As Jesus spoke to his disciples, “Why are ye fearful? O ye of little faith?” Then he arose and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. Matthew 8:26

This is the lesson that Jesus wants us to learn/ understand that hysteria, and worry breads fear and anxiety. “God has not given us the spirit of fear but of power, and of love and of a sound mind.” II Timothy1:7.

It is no surprise to God when we are faced with difficulties, however, we should always remember that he sees all, knows all, and He will rebuke the plans of the enemy. “And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of hosts.” Malachi 3:11

So during this time of crisis, let us live in peace; peace in knowing that Jesus cares. “Casting all of your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour” I Peter 5:7-8
